Terms of Service

Steel Copilot (the "Service") is operated by AITECH HOUSES PTE LTD ("we", "us"). Payments made through PayPal are collected on our behalf by our affiliate, Hainan Aiwu Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (see the Purchase Terms). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the Service. Please read them before you sign up or sign in, especially the parts in bold. By creating an account, signing in or using the Service, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy; paid plans are also subject to the Purchase Terms.

1. The service

  1. The Service uses AI to read the structural steel drawings you upload (PDF, images, DWG / DXF, etc.) and produces a bill of materials (Excel), a takeoff report (Word / PDF) and a 3D model (DXF).
  2. We keep improving the Service, so features, supported formats and processing rules may change. Changes that materially affect your rights are announced in the app in advance.
  3. Uploads are subject to limits that protect result quality — for example, CAD drawings must have title-block frames, only content inside frames is read, and each upload has a page limit. The app shows the current limits.

2. Accounts

  1. You can sign up with an email address and password or with Google. Please keep your account details accurate.
  2. An account may only be used by you or by people your organisation authorises. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure; actions taken under your account are treated as yours. Tell us immediately if you suspect misuse.
  3. If you breach these terms or the law, we may warn you, restrict features, or suspend or close the account. After suspension you can still contact us to export your drawings and results, unless the law requires otherwise.
  4. You can ask us to close your account at any time. Unused takeoffs and other benefits are forfeited when the account is closed.

3. Acceptable use

You agree that:

  1. You have the right to use the drawings you upload and to have us process them, and doing so does not infringe anyone's rights or breach any confidentiality obligation you owe to a client, designer or other third party.
  2. You will not upload unlawful content or material you are not permitted to share.
  3. You will not interfere with the Service — including attacking the system, circumventing billing or limits, mass-registering accounts, scraping, or reverse engineering.
  4. You will not resell, rent or otherwise provide the Service to third parties without our written agreement.

4. Intellectual property

  1. The drawings you upload and the results generated for you belong to you or the original rights holder. You grant us a non-exclusive permission to process them only as needed to provide the Service (storage, recognition, processing by AI model providers and generating results).
  2. We do not use your drawings or results to train models, and we never show them to other users.
  3. The Service's software, interface, documentation and brand belong to us.

5. What takeoff results are

Takeoff results are generated by AI. They are working material, not a final conclusion. We state where every figure comes from and roll up what the system is unsure about as "to review", precisely because results must be checked by a qualified professional before they are used for pricing, bidding, purchasing, fabrication or construction.

You bear any loss arising from using results without such a review.

6. Availability

We work to keep the Service stable but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible. A takeoff interrupted by an upgrade or restart keeps its progress and resumes afterwards. We are not liable for interruptions caused by events beyond our control, such as force majeure or outages at telecom, cloud or AI model providers.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  1. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you actually paid for the Service in the 12 months before the loss occurred.
  2. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost business opportunities.
  3. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including rights you have as a consumer where consumer law applies.

8. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms and will update the version date on this page. For changes that affect your important rights, we will ask you to confirm again the next time you sign in. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service and ask us to close your account.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes should first be resolved through negotiation; failing that, they will be submitted to the courts of Singapore, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
